By booking services with K4K9 Pet Sitting (“Provider,” “I,” “me,” or “my”), you (“Client,” “Owner,” “you,” or “your”) agree to the following Terms of Service. These terms are designed to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of your pets while protecting your home and establishing clear expectations for every booking.

 

1. Services Provided

K4K9 Pet Sitting offers:

• Overnight pet sitting (in your home)
• Daycare (in your home)
• Drop-in visits and daily check-ins
• Dog walks
• Occasional boarding/daycare for established clients

My primary service area is within a 15-mile radius of ZIP code 89183, serving Henderson and surrounding communities. Services outside this area may be available for an additional travel fee, which will always be discussed and approved before booking.

 

2. Meet & Greets

A complimentary meet & greet is highly recommended before your first booking. This allows us to get to know one another, helps your pets become comfortable with me, and gives us time to review their routine, feeding schedule, medications, emergency contacts, home access, and any medical or behavioral concerns.

 

3. Booking & Payment

• A 50% non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is required to reserve your dates.
• Services are not confirmed until the deposit has been received.
• The remaining balance is due on the final day of service.
• Late payments may be subject to additional fees.
• Accepted payment methods include Zelle, Venmo, Stripe, and cash.

If services are paid in full in advance, payments remain non-refundable. At K4K9 Pet Sitting’s discretion, up to 50% of the total paid may be issued as a credit toward future services.

Approved credits:

• Are non-transferable
• Have no cash value
• Must be used within 12 months of the original booking date

 

4. Cancellations

Clients may cancel services at any time. However, all deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable regardless of the reason for cancellation.

If payment has been made in full, any future service credits are issued solely at the discretion of K4K9 Pet Sitting.

 

5. Bonding, Insurance & Safety

K4K9 Pet Sitting is bonded and insured for your peace of mind.

I am also certified in Pet CPR and First Aid and will always make your pet’s safety my highest priority.

 

6. Veterinary Care & Emergencies

If your pet becomes ill or injured while in my care, I will make every reasonable effort to contact you immediately.

If you cannot be reached, you authorize K4K9 Pet Sitting to seek veterinary treatment from your preferred veterinarian or the nearest available emergency veterinary hospital.

All veterinary expenses, including transportation and treatment costs, are the responsibility of the Owner.

Any decisions made will always be in good faith and in the best interest of your pet’s health and safety.

 

7. Home Access & Security

The Owner agrees to provide safe and reliable access to the home for scheduled services.

Keys, lockboxes, garage codes, alarm codes, and other access methods will be handled securely and kept confidential.

If I am unable to access the home due to incorrect information, malfunctioning locks, dead keypads, or other access issues, additional charges may apply for return trips.

Please notify me in advance if anyone else (family, friends, neighbors, contractors, housekeepers, etc.) will have access to your home during scheduled services.

K4K9 Pet Sitting reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services if unexpected individuals are present or if access becomes unsafe or uncertain.

 

8. Pet Health & Behavior

The Owner agrees to disclose any known medical conditions, medications, allergies, behavioral concerns, bite history, escape tendencies, or other information that may affect my ability to safely care for their pet.

K4K9 Pet Sitting reserves the right to modify or discontinue services if a pet displays aggressive or unsafe behavior that places itself, another animal, or the sitter at risk.

 

9. Visit Times & Scheduling

Visit times are scheduled within reasonable time windows rather than guaranteed at an exact minute. While every effort is made to maintain consistent routines, arrival times may vary due to traffic, weather, emergencies, or the needs of other scheduled clients.

Your pet’s care will never be shortened because of scheduling adjustments.

 

10. Overnight Care

Overnight care provides companionship and supervision in your home during the evening and overnight hours.

To continue providing care for all scheduled clients, I may leave the home during the day to complete other scheduled visits or walks. Time away will be limited and scheduled around your pet’s needs.

If your pet requires nearly constant supervision or has specialized care requirements beyond my standard overnight service, this will be discussed prior to booking and may require a customized care plan.

 

11. Social Media & Photos

I love sharing the adorable pets I care for!

Photos may occasionally be shared on K4K9 Pet Sitting’s social media pages. Personal information, addresses, human faces, and identifying details will never be shared.

If you would prefer your pet not appear on social media, simply let me know before your service begins. I will always respect your preference.

 

12. Liability

While every reasonable effort is made to provide safe, dependable care, K4K9 Pet Sitting cannot be held responsible for:

• Illness, injury, loss, or death resulting from pre-existing medical conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
• Property damage caused by pets.
• Damage or loss caused by natural disasters, utility outages, acts of God, or circumstances beyond my control.
• Injury, damage, or loss resulting from another person entering the home during scheduled services.
• Escape of pets due to faulty fencing, doors, gates, or undisclosed hazards on the property.

 

13. Weather & Safety

Your pet’s safety always comes first.

During periods of extreme heat, storms, wildfire smoke, or other unsafe conditions, walks may be shortened, modified, or replaced with indoor enrichment and potty breaks.

Services will only be canceled if conditions make travel unsafe.

 

14. Holiday & Peak Season Bookings

Holiday and peak travel dates book quickly.

A holiday surcharge of up to 40% may apply for services scheduled during major holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.

Holiday bookings remain subject to the same deposit and cancellation policies outlined above.

 

15. Right to Decline or Discontinue Services

K4K9 Pet Sitting reserves the right to decline or discontinue services at any time if conditions are unsafe, care needs fall outside the agreed-upon scope of service, inaccurate information has been provided, or circumstances prevent me from safely caring for your pets.

Whenever possible, I will communicate concerns with you and work toward an appropriate solution.

 

16. Agreement

By booking services with K4K9 Pet Sitting, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service.

Your booking serves as acceptance of this agreement.
